Soon To Set Sail on a Timeless Tide

Back in the late winter months of 2012 the pieces of a puzzle began falling into place. I had been creating artwork pertaining to a couple of my reoccurring characters since mid 2010 and I was starting to realize that there had to be some kind of story behind it all. At that point, I only had a few disconnected pieces of artwork that seemed to hint at a larger underlying story, a few scenes, a few brief glimpses into this word...  On a fateful day back in 2012, I started sketching a new character and my mind began to wonder who this character was and why he had suddenly revealed himself in my mind...

It wasn't long after the creation of this character that I realized who he was, and what he meant... 

His appearance signified the roots of a story-line.

I took out a page of scrap paper and began jotting down brainstorming ideas... how this character connected to the artwork I had previously created, how he could connect to other characters in my world.

In late March/Early April of 2012 I thought to myself; Maybe I should actually sit down and try my hand at writing this tale that kept evolving in my head...

and so I sat down and began writing a scene simply titled "The Path from the Palace"

It was a scene that I knew was somewhere in the middle of my story, but I knew if I could somehow write this scene, I could gauge whether or not I could actually write the story.

That particular piece of writing was handed off to a few choice readers, and they both responded positively, so I decided that I would embark on the journey of actually telling this story... 

Its been an uphill journey for me, but I am excited to say that after all this time I have finished working on the first installment of this series called The Timeless Tides.
